Waterfalls with Rachel
A quick day trip to see Rachel in New Paltz and a visit to Ellenville and Minnewaska State Park in search of waterfalls!
It started at our new favorite spot, the Art Cafe of Nyack, an incredibly good Israeli cafe just off the main drag of a town we haven't explored much but looks very promising.
Later, we played Wii sports in Rachel's apartment on a TV so big it should be illegal, then we drove to the state park to see the waterfall, but the lot was full, so we went in search of another one in Ellenville, which turned out to be harder to find than we thought. It wasn't part of a park or anything we could identify - you actually had to park in a residential neighborhood and walk down a desolate trail. We decided to turn back, stop for ice cream, and then drove back to Minnewaska. By this time, the lot was open and we hiked down the path to the bottom, where we finally got to see what we came for.
Asher passed out on the way back to New Paltz and woke up at a Greek restaurant. He wasn't too thrilled to be awake, but ate some olives and baklava.
